Who We Are Looking For
We seek passionate and qualified professionals who:
- Hold Relevant Qualifications: Registered psychologists, psychotherapists, and counsellors with appropriate certifications and licensure.
- Have Experience in Trauma Care: Proven experience in providing trauma-informed care, particularly related to sexual violence.
- Demonstrate Compassion and Empathy: A deep commitment to understanding and addressing the emotional and psychological needs of clients.
- Exhibit Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members.
- Commit to Professional Development: A willingness to engage in continuous learning and development to stay current with best practices in trauma care.
- We also look for:
- Social Worker: Address social barriers preventing kiritaki from accessing treatment, such as connecting them with community budgeting services.
- Occupational Therapist: Support kiritaki in achieving functional goals, like overcoming anxiety to use public transport independently.
- Physiotherapist: Assist kiritaki with physical symptoms linked to mental injuries. For example, providing pelvic floor therapy for vaginismus to enable pain-free intimacy.
- Dietitian: Help kiritaki overcome nutrition-related challenges, such as creating meal plans to support healthy eating habits after traumatic events.
- Speech-Language Therapist: Assist kiritaki with communication or swallowing issues, like addressing choking problems through targeted interventions.
- Registered Nurse: Provide medical guidance for mental injury-related issues, such as infection control for self-harm behaviours.
